アニメやマンガ、ゲームなど日本のポップカルチャーに見られるエフェクトを絵画に取り込み、日本の伝統表現を手がかりにしながら、グリッターや偏光パールといった現代的な素材へと広げ、新たな絵画表現の可能性を切り拓いている。

Aoi Fujiwara incorporates special effects found in Japanese pop culture, such as anime, manga and videogames into painting. She draws on traditional Japanese expressions and expands them with contemporary materials,such as glitter and pearlescent pigments, opening up new possibilities in
painting.
